Winter 2026 Flu Vaccinations

The 2026 flu vaccination and the latest COVID-19 booster are now available.

Bookings for winter 2026 flu shots are available at our Bellarine Village Newcomb, Belmont, Geelong West, Grovedale, Lara and North Geelong pharmacies.
Our Pharmacist Immunisers can vaccinate all people aged 5 years and over in store at your local Community Care Chemist.

Did you know?
The flu vaccine is free for eligible people under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).

Eligible groups serviced under NIP by Community Care Chemist include;

  • People aged over 65
  • Pregnant women
  • All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 5 years and over
  • All people aged 5 years and over with an eligible medical condition
    • cardiac disease
    • chronic respiratory condition
    • immunocompromising condition
    • haematological disorder
    • chronic metabolic disorder
    • chronic kidney disease
    • chronic neurological condition
    • long-term aspirin therapy in children aged 5 to 10 years.

If you live with one of the above medical conditions, we recommend checking with your pharmacist immuniser in-store to see if you may be eligible for a free flu vaccination.

People not eligible for free flu vaccination under the National Immunisation Program, can purchase a flu vaccine from Community Care Chemist without the need for a prescription. Winter 2026 flu shot pricing for members $25.95, non-members $27.72

NEW Nasal spray flu vaccine: a needle-free flu vaccination for children

Does your child dislike needles? The new nasal spary flu vaccine provides flu protection, without the injection!

The nasal spray flu vaccine provides up to 12 months protection from influenza.

Community Care Chemist will have nasal spray flu vaccinations available for children aged 5-17 years old. The nasal spray flu vaccination will be administered in-store by our trained pharmacist immunisers.

Please note nasal spray flu vaccines are not part of the National Immunisation Program or funded by the Victorian government at this time.

The private cost for a nasal spray flu vaccination in-store will be:

  • S60.95 for members
  • $62.72 for non-members

Flu shot bookings open at our pharmacies across Geelong.
Appointment times and availability will vary by store.
