Pharmacist consultations

Our Lara pharmacists can prescribe medications for treatment of some common health conditions including;

• Anti-viral treatment for shingles (for people aged 18 years and over) 

• Treatment for flare-up of mild plaque psoriasis (for people aged 18 years or over) 

• Requests for resupply of select contraceptive pills without the need for a prescription (for women aged 16 – 50 years). 
• Treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (women and gender diverse people aged 18 – 65 years)  

These consultations are free (excluding the cost of prescribed medications), with walk-ins available or you can book online.

• Medication reviews and Diabetes medication reviews
• Absence from Work Certificates a quick, accessible alternative to a medical certificate when you need evidence for sick leave. No booking required, just walk-in! Note a service fee of $34.95 applies.
• TAC and WorkCover billing
• NDSS subsidised products for people with diabetes (insulin pump consumables, needles, syringes, blood glucose and ketone strips and urine test strips).

• Compounding services to support patients with specialised or personalised medication needs.
