On Thursday 10 September, Community Care Chemist is joining thousands of Australians in supporting R U OK? Day and encouraging everyone to check in with the people around them.
At Community Care Chemist, we work hard to support our customers, communities and each other every day.
While we often see the best moments in people’s lives, we also know that everyone experiences challenges, stress and difficult periods from time to time. Sometimes those struggles are visible, but often they’re not.
That’s why a simple question like, “Are you OK?” can be so powerful.
You don’t need to have all the answers, and you don’t need to be an expert. Often, the most important thing we can do is take the time to genuinely check in with someone, listen without judgement and let them know they don’t have to face things alone.
This year we’re encouraging our Community Care Chemist community to make that small but meaningful effort to connect with the people around them, whether that’s a friend, neighbour, family member or work mate.
A conversation that starts with “Are you OK?” could make a bigger difference than you realise.
If you shop in-store at your local Community Care Chemist this Thursday 10th September 2026, we’ll be sharing free R U OK? resources and conversations starters in-store, plus giving away loads of free mini KitKats, Nescafe coffee sachets and tea (while stocks last!!) to encourage everyone to stay connected with friends, family and neighbours.
R U OK? is a national charity dedicated to inspiring all of us to have regular, meaningful conversations to support anyone going through a difficult time.
