Unwanted or Expired Medicines Disposal

Diabetes is a chronic but manageable disease that affects over two million Australians. However, there are many people who are left undiagnosed and unaware of their condition, because it’s often detected when it’s too late.

We assist and support diabetes patients. Our whole health approach includes advice on medication, nutrition and lifestyle factors such as pregnancy, travelling with insulin, instruction on diabetic devices and advice for carers.

We have certified Diabetes Educators in-store. Our Diabetes Educators will work with you to provide you with ways on how to make positive lifestyle changes and incorporate healthier choices into your life, to manage your diabetes more effectively. Services provided by our Diabetes Educators may be subsidised by Medicare. Please call our pharmacies for session times and further information.

Registration to the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) is free and open to all Australians diagnosed with diabetes. NDSS products are available at all Community Care Chemist stores at subsidised prices. We also provide invaluable information and support services to people suffering from this disease.

Make sure you undergo a diabetes screening at Community Care Chemist as a vital part of your health and wellness regime. It’s a simple blood test that can be performed in our pharmacy. We can calibrate and check the performance of blood sugar testing devices for you as well.
